Explain what you do all day…
I am excited to be able to help leaders in Arkansas enhance the quality of life in their communities through AEDI’s services and expertise. I have also been helping to brainstorm and develop new opportunities for growth and partnerships for our organization.

What are your credentials and/or past experience that relate to your work at AEDI?
I worked for the state’s Economic Development agency for five years before joining AEDI, and prior to that I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Master’s Degree in Community and Economic Development and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography. Additionally, I have earned my PCED from the Community Development Council and am a graduate of the IEDC’s Economic Development Institute.

What is the most inspiring part of your job?
Being able to make a difference in the communities in Arkansas and being able to see those results that come from empowering others.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
I don’t know if it’s advice per se, but one thing I’ve learned from personal growth and therapy is to always look inward. Because if something that others are doing upsets you, it’s possible you are subconsciously doing something similar, maybe just in a different context.

If I wasn’t working at AEDI, I would probably be…
Probably something in the same field, but I think I am supposed to say a writer or something!

Name one thing you like to do outside of AEDI.
I am a competitive figure skater and coach!

What/where is your favorite place in Arkansas?
Eureka Springs! There’s always so much to explore and do! I love shopping around local stores and trying local restaurants and coffee shops.
